Santa came and spoilt us! (RRS)

5 Rowan have been good this year so Santa delivered us some new games for our wet play box. We got stuck in straight away with one game and need to wait for batteries for the other.

This week in maths we have been focusing on bar charts! 5 Poplar really enjoyed these lessons and decided to create some of their own! First, they collected the data and then made eye catching charts!

Maths - 2D Shapes

This week in maths we have been focusing on shapes! 5Poplar children have grouped these various shapes by whether they have parallel lines or not. Are they correct? What other ways could they have grouped them?

We have had great fun today turn nets into 3D shapes. We then counted the faces, looked at the shapes of the faces, counted the edges and counted the vertices.

Today 5 Poplar having been learning about different 3D shapes, investigating their properties such as; number of faces, edges and vertices. Here are a few pictures of the different 3D shapes we made! Can you name any of them?

Gymnastics - Sequencing

Did you know that …

There are 26 letters of the alphabet but they make 44 sounds.

It is essential that all our pupils know these sounds.  It will enable them to become confident readers and spellers.
